When a supplier sends a message in a progi file, there is no way to see that message unless you physically open that file and click under messages. This is a problem if a part confirmed is on backorder or no longer available. There should be an email confirmation that a dealer has made a message on a particular progi file so that it flags us to look into that particular profile file. Without this feature, we have no idea that a part is backordered or not available anymore when a message is received unless we physically open up the file to look. A shop of our size cannot be sifting through all progi files for updates. Please incorporate an email confirmation when a supplier sends a message.

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea to our portal.
We've been thinking about improving the messaging system and the ability to opt-in to an email notification when messages are received is on the list.
In the meantime, there is an existing feature to send you an email notification when your dealer changes the part status to BO after you place an order.
Here's an example of that email:
We are aware that dealers don't always change the part status when a part is known to be backorder but we are working with them as well to train them on best practices.
